Disgraceful, is the only word I can label all the people and companies behind Xfactor, in the Diana affair. I have no problem with Diana losing her voice, though that tells me that she won't resist a full concert if she ever has to do one.
My point is that fairness went out of the window in the most shitty and disgraceful action on the part of everyone involved. Laura should not have been sent home. In my way of doing things, Diana should have been eliminated and then yes the contest would carry on as normal, in the voting aspect. For Diana to stay in the contest, then Laura should have stayed; no voting that week, would have been the right decision. Laura was cheated, but she has nothing to be ashamed of, she has a great voice, she is a great singer and I hope we hear more from her.
Xfactor took advantage of their own stupid and pathetic rules (whatever they may be) and so it may be that they have destroyed the prospects of a great artist. SHAME ON YOU XFACTOR.
Now, yes we know who is going to win. There are still 6 contestants as I write this, but she is young and so many producing years, she has sex appeal, I think she makes Louis ( and Mr. Vanity ) go home and exercise his right hand, she has a fantastic voice, she is an artist and she will make millions to the parasites that will use her. Alexandra will win Xfactor 2008. Does she deserve? Yes, but so do Laura, Ruth and Rachel.
If I had the power, that is, if I was in the industry, I would take all 4 on, after this shitty Xfactor. Each of these ladies has so much to offer.
So we ( I ) know that Alexandra is going to win; in the final, all the blokes are going to vote for her.
Ruth. When she sings, she gives the shivers. The best all round artist. Singing this fantastical, in a language that is not her native, makes me dream of listening to her singing in Spanish. Ruth should in fact be the winner. Although Simon fancies her, Ruth is so much more than legs and a pretty face, she was born to sing.
Laura got cheated out of the contest.
Rachel. Here we have a problem, I mean, she has an unique voice, she is just fantastic. This girl can be queen of Sole any day she wants. Sadly I know she will never win Xfactor. You see, Rachel has nothing posh about her, she is a woman that had enough testicles to be honest about her past, she came out of a life that was not right, she rose of the shit and she can sing like hell and heaven together. She speaks basic, localized, slangy English and that makes people in business, run away from her. You see, they mix and talk to her now, because of the contest, tomorrow when it is all finished, they will feel to be better than her and will turn their heads away. I hope someone takes Rachel on and shows her the way to be one of the greatest singers of this century.
Diana. Well, she is a kid right? Even if she was not a kid, I don't think she would do the honourable thing. She should and could have influenced the mess Xfactor made, in a more positive manner. Diana could and should have given up, gone home, if they didn't bring Laura back. Diana will never win, but if she does, she will carry for her lifetime, how she won; by cheating and being greatly helped at it.
For those of you that think I am nasty or wrong, look at Leona Lewis and what Simon has done to a marvelous voice; he converted her into a money making machine and she will never be the true artist that she is and can be. See how he uses her body, Leona's music and presence, are all about sex.
The unfairness of contests like this, is that yes, great talents turn up, artist are born in a few months and killed in a few minutes. Why, because people are stupid, because people only buy what huge marketing machines push right into their eyes; people are ignorant. Guys like to look at a nice pair of legs and dream. Girls, aspire and dream of being like those whose legs the guys drool for. It is a sad state of things and in a way, that is also to blame for the present global economical situation, but that is another matter.
